Adrian Aguilar

(He/Him) teaches piano, voice, guitar

Adrian Aguilar has taught as a choir/guitar teacher for Pleasanton and San Antonio ISD for 6 years, collectively. He holds a bachelors of art in music from Schreiner University and attended UT El Paso as a graduate student and teaching assistant in their School of Music. He is also a former member of the San Antonio Choral Society and the San Antonio Mastersingers.

His love of music also extends to dance, specifically, the Black-American swing dance called Lindy Hop. He has taken up Lindy Hop as a serious hobby, traveling across the country for workshops and competitions.

Adrian is also a practitioner of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and uses these teachings, as well as teachings of mindfulness, to guide his students (and himself) through the common pitfalls and struggles of the learning process. "Meet them where they are" is his teaching moto and he believes before a student can become invested in the lesson, they must first be invested in the teacher.
